The department of laboratory is granted the "Westgard Sigma VP International Quality Certification", as the second certificated laboratory department in Shandong Province and the first in Qingdao city.
On November 8, 2018, the ceremony was held in Conference Room 306 of the Science and Education Building, hosted by Tian Qingwu，vice director of laboratory department. Vice President of our hospital Jia Shaoyou delivered a speech. Pro. Limin Lun, the director of laboratory department, signed on the certification, and then Pro. Sten A. Westgard certificated it.

On the occasion of the 120th Anniversary on Nov.16, 2018, Prof. Yunjin Zang, Director of Surgery Department and Organ Transplantation Center, the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University signed a cooperation agreement with Prof. Hans J. Schlitt, Vice Chairman of German Transplant Association and Director of Department of Surgery, Medical Center of Regensburg University.
The signing of this international cooperation agreement marks the establishment of an academic exchange and cooperation platform of organ transplantation for scientific research by both China and Germany.
On Oct. 15, 2018, Dr. Cecilia, the Scientific Director at Westmead Fertility Centre (WFC), University of Sydney visited the affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University IVF centre.
